Meanwhile, oral English capacity has been considered as the mostimportant and basic requirement in language application. So what is the idealoral English？as Hartman states that “ifone can use language structure accurately and pays attention to his contextrather than its language style, then speak out the language at normal speedwithout thinking its language structure, that means he can reach an spoken languagefluently” (Jeremy, 1994). That is, to speak idiomatic and nature English, youare asked to gain accurate English structures and fluent grade. Judging fromabove, it is obvious that the basic requirement of oral English is to reachaccuracy and fluency. In foreign language education in China we concentrate too much onlearning English knowledge but ignore to develop students English skills and applicationability. In that case, there still appears many problems in our daily communicationby using English, such as comprehension difficulties, a breakdown orgrammatical mistakes of communication. Take Chinglish for example, when we comeacross “sleep late,” Chinese students always understand according to itsliterate meaning and Chinese structure. Consequently they misunderstand it as “stayup late or go to bed late”. To sum up, Chinese students are confronted withsuch ever-lasting problem, so the cultivations of oral English competence shouldbe focused on oral fluency and accuracy. In the following parts, it attemptedto illustrate the misunderstanding essentially due to the cultural differencesand ways of thinking.
