Young children’s attention can beeasy taken but it is difficult to keep it throughout the whole class. Then theteacher should have the ability and enthusiasm to design different activities toattract their attention. Children are naturally curious and active. They arefull of enthusiasm and often show a lot of eagerness to participate. Ifchildren fell secure and happy in a free environment, they are more likely toenjoy English. It’s often said that children’s attention span is short but wesometimes find small children can concentrate on one certain thing for a fairlylong time but not on other things. Therefore, it really depends on what they doand whether they are interested. Children will not concentrate long if theteacher keeps lecturing them!
