In communicationactivities, people usually call each other by these terms. Kinship terms are acommon cultural phenomenon both in Chinese and English culture systems. Becausecultures are diverse, kinship terms are varied. Kinship terms, as a carrier ofculture, have a long history of formation, and therefore have rich cultural connotations,reflecting ethnic and cultural characteristics. They also reflect a nation’sview of the world, life and values. In cross-cultural international businessactivities, learning the kinship terms of Chinese and English culture will helpto promote the cross-cultural communication activities, and to establish a goodcorporate and individual image.
