Abstract Previous research findings expose that interaction plays a crucialrole in Ll and L2acquisition. The teaching model of Classroom Interaction arosein 1970s, and ever since then the western researchers have conducted a greatdeal of studies on it and have gained great success. Now it is a very popularmodel in the foreign language teaching and learning in western countries. The researchers in our country have justbegan to attach importance to it recently. However, in China the theories ofthe model have not been fully reviewed，And what's more, theresearch into its application English classroom teaching is neithercomprehensive nor systematic. In this paper, I elaborate some basic knowledgeabout interactive classroom teaching; the necessity for advocating thisteaching method in senior school English teaching and expound the greatsignificance of its application to English classroom teaching for seniorstudents. paper51.com Based on the existing theories, and my own practice teachingexperience, I present the model of classroom interaction in English teachingfor senior students in China.And the model aims to help teachers to create a successful L2 language studyconditions in classroom, so as to make the senior English classroom play a moreimportant role in English study. paper51.com
