With the development of society, English becomes more andmore vital. A lot of Middle School students are afraid of studying English, especiallyEnglish writing. Isn’t English writing easy to learn for Middle School students?Why is English writing so difficult that students almost can’t improve theirlevel of it? Teachers have tried to solve the problem by analyzing grammar, pronunciation,vocabulary, punctuation, and spelling, but which probably limits theimprovement of English writing? Writing is a complexactivity whose components and sub-components involve action at a number of levels,requiring proficiency in several areas of skill and knowledge (Archibald &Jeffery, 2000). The complexity of mastering writing skills for EFL writers iscompounded by the difficulties inherent in learning a foreign language. UnlikeL1writers, linguistic proficiency is a very important, even essential, factorfor both quantity and quality of EFL writers.
